President Trump took to Twitter on Sunday to report on playing a round with legends Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus at his golf resort in Florida over the weekend.
“Everyone is asking how Tiger played yesterday. The answer is Great! He was long, straight & putted fantastically well. He shot a 64. Tiger is back & will be winning Majors again!,” the duffer-in-chief posted on his account. “Not surprisingly, Jack also played really well. His putting is amazing! Jack & Tiger like each other.”
Trump, who spent the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., spent much of Saturday hitting the links at his golf club in Jupiter, Fla.
He tweeted a photo of him, Nicklaus and Woods at the resort, exclaiming “Great morning.”
Woods, who won the 1997 Masters when he was 21, has been trying to recover from a string of injuries and his fourth back surgery in April 2017.
Last September, he got his first PGA Tour win since 2013 with a victory at the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Trump’s 18-hole course in Jupiter, which has a 72 par, was designed by Nicklaus.
It was the first time since the partial government shutdown that began Dec. 22 and ended Jan. 25 that Trump traveled to one of his resorts to play golf.
Since becoming president, Trump has spent more than 150 days at one of his golf courses.
He returned to the greens on Sunday, playing a round with acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, the White House said.
