A Las Vegas tourist who ended up being hypnotized is suing the hypnotist who placed him in a trance, claiming to have been injured while under his spell.
Kevin Casselbury, from Scottsdale, Arizona was in Sin City on vacation in 2019 when he attended the Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis Show.
The complaint reads that the host of the show, Savard, failed to warn Casselbury that ‘an unreasonably dangerous condition existed’ inside the theater.

The show involves volunteers who agree to go up on stage to be hypnotized for the entertainment of fellow spectators.
It’s believed Casselbury is one of those who decided to volunteer in the show however the lawsuit does not state how he came to be injured.
Nonetheless, he is claiming $47,000 in medical care and treatment costs that he claims to have undergone as result of the performance.
Savard’s comedy performance & hypnotism show has been running at Planet Hollywood since 2007
The lawsuit sees Casselbury suing Savard, his company, the V Theater Group and Miracle Mile Shops where the show takes place.
The Planet Hollywood Resort who have produced the show since 2007 are also named in the suit, which was filed last week in Clark County District Court.
‘Defendants negligently failed to control, supervise and maintain the premises inside the theater … which resulted in Mr. Casselbury’s injuries,’ Casselbury’s attorney, Leila Hale, wrote according to the Las Vegas Review Journal which has seen the suit.
