Thug is facing jail for relentless two-year domestic abuse campaign on girlfriend he forced to post graphic content on OnlyFans
- Taggart faces jail after pleading guilty to abusive conduct against his girlfriend
A violent thug who forced his girlfriend to set up an OnlyFans page during a shocking two year campaign of domestic abuse is facing a jail sentence.
Kenneth Taggart made the victim post intimate pictures of herself on the X-rated website in a bid to raise cash and savagely attacked her on several occasions over the course of their relationship.
The 35-year-old chef left the woman ‘screaming in pain’ and with shocking injuries following repeated assaults at homes in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Pitlochry.
Taggart was eventually caught after a concerned neighbour overheard one horror attack where he had choked the victim and ‘restricted her breathing’ for around 30 seconds.
He pleaded guilty to engaging in a course of conduct which was abusive of his partner at several addresses between January 1, 2020 and December 21, 2021 when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.

Prosecutor Matthew Millar told the court Taggart and the woman met online in January 2020 and the couple moved in to a flat in Glasgow around six months later.
Mr Miller said the victim was ‘uncertain’ about the move but relented due to Taggart’s ‘persistent’ behaviour.
The fiscal said the abuse started soon after when the woman took some time off her work to complete the move and he convinced her to set up an Only Fans account ‘in order to supplement her income’.
Mr Millar said: ‘Despite the complainer’s reluctance the accused insisted that she do so because it would improve her confidence.
‘At that time the accused made the complainer provide him with the log in information and he would monitor the messages she received.
‘After a short while it became clear she was not making a substantial income from Only Fans and the complainer was persuaded to post more new graphic content.’
The court was also told of several incidents of assault where Taggart, of Rutherglen, Glasgow, left the woman with injuries.
One attack in July 2020 at the couple’s Glasgow flat saw Taggart slap and choke the woman as she lay in bed.
A further attack at a property in Pitlochry saw Taggart assault the woman by ‘grabbing her hair and placing his knee onto her face’.
The court heard the brute then repeatedly struck her to the face leaving the woman ‘screaming in pain’.
A third incident at an Edinburgh flat in December 2021 saw Taggart throw a backpack at the woman’s face before pushing her to the ground.
The fiscal told the court: ‘While she was on the ground he has kicked and punched her to the head in a prolonged attack.
‘Given the nature of the attack the complainer was screaming hysterically.
‘The accused has pulled her to her feet by her hair and at this point the accused has placed his hands around her throat and applied significant pressure for around 30 seconds.
‘He applied more pressure to the point she could not breathe.
‘The complainer was in a state of extreme alarm and believed the accused would kill her and her life would come to an end.’
A neighbour called the police after hearing the screams and ‘banging and thudding coming from the flat’.

Officers found the woman ‘in a state of hysteria’ and she was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment to injuries to her head and face.
The court heard the woman described staying with Taggart as ‘a living hell’ and that she was forced to lock her self away in a bathroom to escape his attacks.
Sheriff Douglas Keir released Taggart on bail but warned him ‘all options remain open to the court’.
Sentence was deferred to next month for reports to be prepared.
