Sudan has not said how many journalists were arrested and human rights groups worry that more remain in unknown locations, without access to lawyers or loved ones.
Journalists in Sudan say they’re living in fear of arrest simply for doing their jobs.
Last month, several reporters were detained while covering protests against government policies that had resulted in food price increases.
Many of those jailed have now been released, but there’s concern about others still behind bars.
