HUMAN remains have been found on land next to Swansea Airport.
Police say the body parts were discovered by walkers earlier this month.
The area, known as Fairwood Common, was sealed off while cops investigate the gruesome discovery.
Officers are treating the death as unexplained and are in the process of identifying the individual.
Detective Inspector Gareth Jones said: "South Wales Police received a report around 12.50pm on December 3 that human remains had been found on land near to Swansea Airport.
"We are currently in the process of identifying the individual and at this stage are treating the death as unexplained."

The airport is six miles from the city centre and on the way to the Gower Peninsula.
It is mainly used for private aircraft and helicopters.
