George Clooney’s sister-in-law jailed for three weeks and fined £3k after being convicted of drink driving in Singapore – The Sun

GEORGE Clooney's high-flying sister-in-law has been banged up in Singapore for drink-driving.

Tala Alamuddin Le Tallec – the sister of George's lawyer wife Amal – was fined £3,640 and locked up for three weeks after pleading guilty to a host of driving offences.

She was also caught driving without either the correct license or insurance.

A court heard how she had been driving her husband's BMW X5 after a boozy dinner with a friend.

She was driving home with her pal in the passenger seat when cops pulled her over at 2:30am on Tuesday.

Staff Sergeant Alvin Lee claimed that Le Tallec smelled of alcohol and struggled to find the handbrake.

She hit the accelerator briefly while reaching for her driving license.

A breath test revealed that she was over the legal limits.

Defence lawyer Shashi Nathan said his client was "genuinely remorseful."

Le Tallec – who runs the fashion line Totally Tara – had a previous Singaporean driving conviction in 2013.
