A 26-year-old man from Sydney was broadcasting himself playing the popular game via the Twitch video platform when he was heard shouting: “I said I’ll be out soon.”
As an argument continues, a woman’s voice can be heard saying: “Woman basher.”
She also yells: “You hit me in the face. Don’t you dare touch my face. You hear that, all you people there?”
The man shouts “leave me alone” amid more shouting and crying as he moves to and from his monitor.
Footage of the incident went viral after it was shared thousands of times on social media.
In a second video, a child is heard crying as the yelling continues.
New South Wales state police said someone watching the live feed had called officers about the incident.
The 21-year-old woman was “not seriously injured” but was “distressed and shaken by the incident”, the force added.
She is either his wife or his partner, local media reported.
The man was charged with common assault after being arrested at his home in the Sydney suburb of Oran Park on Sunday.
He is due on court on Tuesday.
Two girls, aged three and 20 months, were in the home at the time, police said.
The man was also served with an order which prohibits him from harassing, threatening and intimidating behaviour.
