Boy, 7, is fighting for his life and pedestrian in his 30s is injured after being hit by van while riding his scooter in Oxfordshire

A seven-year-old boy was fighting for his life in hospital today after he was run over by a van in a horror crash, while out on his scooter.
A child was out on his push scooter when a van mowed him and a pedestrian in his 30s down on the A4130 between Didcot and Wallingford at 11.30am on Sunday.
Emergency services rushed to the pair lying on the A road on High Road, Brightwell-Cum-Sotwell, at the junction with Slade End.
Paramedics treated the boy and the man, who were seriously injured in the dramatic collision, and both were transported to hospital, where they are receiving urgent treatment.

The seven-year-old boy sustained life-threatening injuries and was fighting for his life in hospital on Sunday. His next of kin were aware of the horror crash.
The van driver and four passengers in the vehicle were uninjured.
Road closures are in place as investigation can take place and are likely to remain for several hours.
The A4130, Brightwell-Cum-Sotwell junction with Calvin Thomas Way, Slade Lane and High Road are currently closed.
Senior Investigating Officer, Inspector Simon Hills of the Roads Policing Unit based in Bicester, said: ‘We are at the very early stages of this investigation and firstly our thoughts are with the family and friends of those involved.
‘We would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened earlier today or if you saw the van, the pedestrian or boy on a push scooter before the collision took place.
‘If you have dash-cam and were in the area before the incident happened or if it has captured the incident, please get in touch.’
