“My heart breaks for his father, who he followed into law enforcement, for his family, and for Sheriff Deb Burchett and the Clark County Sheriff’s office—which lost its second deputy in 12 years by the gun of a criminal.”

According to The Dayton Daily News, another deputy injured his leg while avoiding gunfire, but was not shot.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is looking into the shooting at the trailer park.
