CRUFTS 2022 was a special occasion, after fans missed out on the famous dog show because of Covid-19 in 2021.

Over 20,000 pampered pooches competed at the Crufts Show in all different categories but there could only be one top dog.

Who won Crufts Best In Show 2022?

The Best In Show award is given to the dog that is chosen as the overall winner of the show.

It is the most prestigious award that a dog can earn.

The winners of each category go head-to-head to be crowned Best In Show.

And in the 2022 show, the gundog category produced the overall winner as flat-coated retriever Baxer emerged the victor.

The most popular breed was the Bernese mountain dog with 140 dogs.

The results were:

  • Winner: Siberian Husky: Siberiadrift Keep The Love for Zimavolk JW ShCM (Miss J Allen)
  • Reserve: Alaskan Malamute: Black Star del Biagio (G Biagiotti)
  • Third: Boxer: Lanfrese Argento (Mr M Griffiths)

These dogs are breeds such as poodle which come from a non-sporting lineage.

Back in the day, they were meant to be trained to do certain work but now they are more considered as pets.

The most popular breed was the dalmation with 202 dogs.
