The Masked Singer judges speculate on Blob’s identity
The Masked Singer is a popular part of ITV’s weekend schedule and the quirky singing competition has left viewers perplexed throughout. This weekend all eight remaining contestants donned their colourful costumes again for the panel. Sadly it was Bush Baby who left the competition and here’s all you need to know about who was behind the mask.
Who was Bush Baby on The Masked Singer?
The Masked Singer UK has returned for a second series and this time around the talent is even more impressive.
Once again, the panel of celebrity guessers – made up of Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan – have put their thinking caps on to guess the identities of the quirky characters.
This weekend’s show was a real treat for fans as it saw all of the remaining singers take to the stage for the first time this series.
Joel Dommett helped the judges and audience attempt to guess who was behind Badger, Blob, Bush Baby, Dragon, Harlequin, Robin, Sausage and Viking.
At the end of the episode, the judges deliberated and decided they wanted Bush Baby to remove their mask.

The bottom two competitors were Dragon and Bush Baby.
That means Sausage, Viking, Robin, Badger, Harlequin and Blob will return to fight one more time.
The panel chose to save Dragon which means Bush Baby was unmasked – and the celebrity was John Thompson – actor and comedian.
He was an amateur magician who was on a show called Saturday Zoo.
When asked why he wanted to go on the series he simply said: “Why not?”
Bush Baby said he was known for his bad behaviour and entertaining people. Some of the original guesses included Noel Fielding and John Torode.
First up was Blob and the clues suggested they were a comic who has previously worked with children.
They performed to Hotel Room and had everyone on their feet. Davina suggested comedian and former teacher, Greg Davies.
Next up was Sausage and they are known for having a powerful singing voice. The panellists were convinced they were a professional singer who has worn disguises before.
The panel’s guesses were singers Celine Dion and Sia.
Viking was the third act to perform and they said billions of people have watched them do their thing.
Mo believed the celebrity, who sang a beautiful version of Take On Me was an Olympian.
Badger was next up and they said they lived in a large family who were all very creative. They sang a powerful version of Kelly Clarkson’s Because of You.
Dragon gave plenty more rainbow-themed clues. Jennifer Saunders and RuPaul Charles were the top suggestions.
Harlequin was next up and they said they preferred being at home to out partying, but they loved a party. They sang Fast Car and blew the panel away.
Last up was Robin and they gave away a clue of being Irish. They had the audience on their feet with Rockin’ Robin and the panellists struggled to come up with an answer.
