Who is Hayley Tamaddon and why is she doing Real Full Monty On Ice?

HAYLEY Tamaddon is set to strip off in ITV's The Real Full Monty On Ice.

The actress, 43, will feature on the show along with a host of other celebrities getting naked to raise awareness about cancer.

Who is Hayley Tamaddon?

Hayley is an actress who is best known for stints on ITV soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

The star played the impulsive Del Dingle for two years from 2005-2007.

Six years after leaving the Yorkshire Dales, Hayley popped up on Coronation Street in 2013 and spent two years in Weatherfield before leaving in September 2015.

Her latest project was the comedy film Eaten by Lions, which was released in March 2019.

Why is she doing Real Full Monty On Ice?

Hayley, 43, is doing the show in memory of actress pal Rebekah Gibbs, who died of cancer at 41 in 2014.

She shared: "I'm doing this for one of my best friends, called Rebecca Gibbs, who died six years ago of cancer.

"Before she died she said to me, whatever comes up for telly, if they ask you to do it, for cancer, you say yes, and you do it. So I said, okay, I'll do whatever you want! Whatever it takes."

She added: "And I always have. So that's the reason I'm doing this. And the fact it's on ice as well, is just amazing for me because I love skating! It means I can get my ice skates back on so that's great."

When was she on Dancing On Ice?

It will help that Hayley has experience on the ice, after winning the 2010 edition of Dancing on Ice.

She won the competition alongside Daniel Whiston and finished ahead of runner-up Gary Lucy and Kieron Richardson in third.

Hayley donned her skates once again in 2014 for all-stars edition of Dancing on Ice with Daniel once again, and finished runners-up behind singer ray Quinn.
