Security guard ‘Big Steve’ did his fair share of bodyguarding while a part of the team at The Jeremy Kyle Show.
From tugging guests apart from wrestling matches to fending them off host Jeremy when things got a little too heated, Steve was always there to save the day.
When one furious guest tried to take on Jeremy, Steve held him back in the doorway, as Jeremy mocked: "He could do you with his little finger!"
Sure enough, the guest couldn’t get past the beefcake Steve, and quickly fled to the green room after Steve called him "good lad".
But, since the show was axed in 2019 over the death of one of its guests, fans have been worried for Big Steve’s livelihood – so where is he now?
The Jeremy Kyle Show was axed after an impressive 19 year stint on ITV, after the tragic death of one of its guests.
Steve Dymond, 63, was discovered dead at his home in May 2019, mere days after taking a lie-detector test on the show.
He had failed the test, which he was taking to establish whether he had cheated on his former fiancée Jane Callaghan.
He died of a morphine overdose at his Portsmouth home.
One of the lawyers at the inquest, Mr Pegg, had viewed the footage that went unaired on ITV.
"After the lie detector results the deceased looked visibly upset.
"Jeremy Kyle adopted an approach where he called the deceased a ‘serial liar’; that he ‘would not trust him with a chocolate button’."
Upon the news of the death, Steve released a statement to his Instagram page which read: “We at @thejeremykyleshow are deeply saddened to hear the news of one of our guests passing away.
"Our show has always been about trying to help ordinary people with problems to help their quality of life improve drastically, every day I turned up to work happy knowing somebody’s life would change for the better with the help of all the staff and crew at @thejeremykyleshow.
"My thoughts and condolences go out to everybody affected by the news today," he continued.
"My Direct Messages are open for the next few days for anybody who needs to talk about any problems they may have, use #StevesDMs to spread the word on various social media platforms so anybody who needs help knows I’m here.
"Rest in Peace – Big Steve."
New ITV job
Steve once again took to Instagram to commemorate the news that The Jeremy Kyle Show had been axed.
Sharing a huge photoset of him with other members of staff at the show, he wrote: "Over the course of 14 years working on TV I have met so many amazing individuals.
"Thank you for your love, support and everything.
"I don’t know what I will be posting/doing in the near future but will keep you all updated – Big Steve Out."
And, true to form, Steve hasn’t posted on his official Instagram account since May 2019, leaving fans guessing at his fate.
But they shouldn’t be too worried, as Big Steve has successfully landed himself a fab new job at a rival ITV programme.
He’s now performing security duties for TV legal eagle Judge Rinder.
The beefy security guard was pictured strolling alongside the TV judge last year, outside ITV Studios in Manchester.
Sporting a tight grey hoodie and dark jeans, Steve didn’t look like he’d changed much in terms of musculature from the days of The Jeremy Kyle Show.
The threads were a far cry from Steve’s usual ensemble of a black polo shirt with ‘SECURITY’ written on the breast, and dark trousers.
And his tattoo sleeves were fully covered up by the grey hooded jacket.
Meanwhile, Robert, AKA Judge Rinder, was rocking a navy blue padded coat and jeans for the low-key snap.
Though he doesn’t post on his own social media any more, Steve has been featured on other cast members’.
Show psychotherapist Graham Stanier wished Steve a happy birthday in March this year, as he turned 50.
"Happy 50th Birthday to this beautiful human being," Graham captioned a sweet snap of Steve grinning at the camera.
"The celebration is postponed but it will happen," he vowed.
And in December 2019, Graham posted a sweet selfie of him standing side-by-side with his pal in what looks to be a dressing room, with Steve rocking his typical security uniform.
"Great catch up with our Steve today!" Graham wrote alongside the snap.
Fans swarmed to the comments section to show their love, with one writing: "Aww miss you guys!"
Another said: "Hope this means you are all working on something new?", as a third chipped in: "Still miss you guys in a morning!"
Steve keeps his cards close to his chest when it comes to his private life, but that hasn’t stopped him leaking a bit of information about his sex life.
During an episode of The Jeremy Kyle Show aired in July 2017, couple David and Chelsea appeared to discuss the fact they hadn’t had sex for more than a year.
Jeremy immediately turned to the other men in his life to see what they thought about the set-up, asking Steve: "Would you stay with a woman if she didn’t put out for a year?"

Steve offered an incredibly sweet response, as he answered: "Yeah… if you love her."
And that’s not the only time he’s shown his softer side, as he often reached out to give guests a cuddle during emotional confessions.
