A Lake District Farm Shop is a new Channel 4 documentary series set in the picturesque Lake District. The series follows the farmers, food producers and crafters whose work is sold at a unique family-run Tebay Service Station. But, where is the Lake District Farm Shop? Express.co.uk has all the details.

The new four-part Channel 4 series celebrates Tebay Services and follows the working lives of its key members of staff.

The series also features the Cumbrian farmers and producers who help maintain the 50-year-old family-owned business.

Where is the Lake District Farm Shop?

The Lake District Farm Shop, also known as Tebay Services, is a motorway services business owned by a Cumbrian farming family.

The shop was first opened in 1972 by John and Barbara Dunning, after the M6 motorway was built through their farm.

Located in Cumbria, you can find Tebay Services between junctions 38 and 39 on the M6.

The filling station and quick kitchen are open 24hours a day, while the farm shop is open between 7am and 10.45pm.

The farm shop works with more than 70 producers within a 30-mile radius of Tebay Services.

A statement on the official Tebay Services website reads: “Our Farmshop brings together thousands of the finest foods, crafts and clothes from our locality, our region and further afield.

“We champion a wide community of farmers and makers and nurture a team of dedicated colleagues who share our commitment to handmade and authentic produce.

“Our Kitchen serves tasty food, made from scratch just as you would make it at home.

“Our chefs use locally sourced real ingredients, including our home-reared beef and lamb.

“When you pass through, you will know that you have arrived somewhere, not anywhere.

“As you catch a glimpse of our place, which we are so proud to be a part of, we hope you will feel part of it, too,” the statement adds.

Tebay Services has earned a number of awards for its services over the years.

In 2020 alone they won the award for TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice and also Specialist Retailer/Supplier of the Year at the Cumbria Life Food & Drink Awards.

A wide range of hard-working individuals is featured in the new documentary series.

Some of the show’s stars include master butcher Dave Morland, artisan baker Patrick Moore, chef Bing Cao and skincare company owners Claire and Gareth McKeever.

The documentary will be set across four episodes airing each Saturday.

A Lake District Farm Shop airs Saturdays at 8pm on Channel 4.
