Wes Nelson looked to be in top form as he took to the ice for his last training session before Sunday night’s Dancing On Ice finale.
The Love Island hunk joined his professional skating partner Vanessa Bauer at the training rink for their last ever practice, before battling James Jordan and Saara Alto for a shot at the trophy tomorrow.
Wes, 20, took a bottle of water and poured it over his face as Vanessa recorded him throwing himself into the rink.
To the strains of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Can’t Stop, Wes psyched himself up and let out a gutteral grunt as he sped across the ice gracefully.
Giving viewers a glimpse at what his and Vanessa’s final routine will be, Wes skated around a corner with the tips of his fingers brushing the ice.
He then built up speed before dropping to his knees and spinning around.
A bit of moonwalking and some backward skating later, Wes was ready to fully jump into the air and do the splits – which he landed perfectly.
Following behind him, Vanessa whooped and shouted "yes!" every time Wes nailed his steps.
The pair have been sparking rumours that they’re more than friends and colleagues with their conduct both on and off the ice.
Having both split from their respective parters early in the series, viewers, co-stars and even the DOI judges have been saying how good they look together.
Dancing On Ice reigning champion Jack Quickenden told Heart FM this week: "I can’t say what happened with Wes. They might be skating and then popping off to cinema afterwards. That’s up to them.
"If they are I hope they’re happy, if not it’s just rumours. From what I know, she weren’t like that with me.
"They do look like a good couple. But no one wants to see a couple break up, do they?"
Wes’ relationship with Love Island 2018 star Megan Barton-Hanson ended because of the so-called Dancing On Ice Curse, despite him insisting he doesn’t fancy Vanessa.
Megan admitted she was too jealous to watch Wes train with Vanessa, and hit out at the other woman in a furious Instagram rant shortly before announcing she and Wes had split.
