It comes after Ashley has been left sobbing after being in the dreaded bottom two for three weeks in a row ahead of the glittering Strictly finals this weekend.
Tess told The Sun Online: "We love Ashley. No more tears [for Ashley], please vote for her.
"It's close at the top. It's going to be an interesting show on Saturday – it's going to be competitive, it's going to be unmissable."
On Saturday Ashley, 37,will be up against finalists Joe Sugg, 27, Faye Tozer, 43, and Stacey Dooley, 31, but Ashley is the bookies favourite to get booted out first.
BBC show host Tess, 49, told the Sun Online she just wants viewers to pick up the phone and vote.
Tess says the shows next series will have huge stars in it
Tess, who has hosted the show for 14 years, added: "It's been such a brilliant series, the celebrities have wowed us with their talents. I love that you can't call who is going to take the trophy.
"At the end of the day the public chose their winner, and who can predict who that's going to be? This is the closest year- never been so close."
Speaking at the StorySign Huawei launch which helps deaf kids to read, she said: "They are training hard, literally 70 hours a week, they are like athletes at this point, and you see how much it means for them.
"Often this stage of competition suddenly the celebrities take on this whole competitive vibe, but this series there is a real sense of camaraderie among them all."
This Saturday the four remaining couples will each perform three times during the glittering finale – a judges' pick dance, their own favourite routine from the series and a new showdance.
Stacey is currently the favourite to win after Bookmaker Coral cut her odds on to 1-2 (from 4-7).
Joe Sugg (3-1) and Faye Tozer (8-1) are next in the betting, whilst Coral have Ashley Roberts as the 33-1 rank outsider to go all the way.
Meanwhile former pro dancer James Jordan has slammed Strictly for not defending Ashley Roberts against the backlash she's received for her dance training.
The Dancing On Ice star, 40, admitted he feels "really sorry" for how much "stick" the ex Pussycat Doll has had to take – especially since Steps' Faye Tozer has just as much previous experience.
