Strictly bosses make big rule change – as they warn if stars catch Covid they will be immediately axed

STRICTLY couples have been ordered to tighten their Covid bubbles if they want to make the show’s final.

Pairs were told by producers ahead of last night’s quarter-final that they would no longer be allowed a bye week if they fall ill.

A positive test means they will be out of the show for good.

It comes as fears mount that the new Omicron variant will derail the BBC1 show.

Dancers still in with a chance of winning the coveted glitterball trophy have swerved showbiz parties.

A TV insider said: “Everyone was social distancing before. Now they’re being extra careful.”

EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27, and professional partner Giovanni Pernice, 31, are the bookies’ favourites to win the show.  

But Giovanni took Made In Chelsea star Verity Bowditch, 25, on several dates last month, The Sun on Sunday revealed last week.
