Strictly 2019: Emma Weymouth in tears after judges’ criticism of Viennese Waltz

Emma Weymouth was left on the verge of tears after receiving positive comments from the judges for her Viennese Waltz with Aljaž Škorjanec. After being saved by Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli in last week’s dance-off the pair put on a beautiful display on the dance floor. 

Once the pair had heard the positive comments from the Strictly Come Dancing judges, they waited for their scores with Claudia Winkleman.

Realising Emma was feeling emotional, the BBC host remarked: “Oh look, are you going?” 

“What was it like receiving those comments, I mean you hated being in that dance-off.

“You trained incredibly hard, what was it like receiving those words?”

As her voice cracked, Emma said: “It was the most amazing feeling because we worked so hard.

“And it means so much to be here and I am so grateful.”

Turning to Aljaž she said: “Thank you for teaching me everything and thank you for the nice comments because I love it so much.”
