Currently in prison for Seb’s (Harry Visinoni) death and the hate crime attack, Kelly Neelan (Millie Gisbon) in Coronation Street will reveal more about what life was like while living with her abusive mother Laura (Kel Allen).
Viewers are aware of Kelly and Laura’s toxic relationship. In the past, Gary (Mikey North) has grown concerned for Kelly’s welfare after spotting marks on her arm, and the teen is now under Toyah (Georgia Taylor) and Imran’s (Charlie De Melo) foster care.
Wanting to make some quick cash, Laura meets up with Chris in the bistro and tells her she wants £30k for Kelly’s story.
Once Daniel (Rob Mallard) hears from Chris about Laura’s plan, he tells Toyah and Imran about Laura attempting to flog Kelly’s story.
Toyah and Imran make it clear to Laura that if she sells the story, they’ll report her to social services.
Later on, a police officer arrives at the factory and arrests Laura for child cruelty.
Speaking to the social worker, Kelly describes her childhood and explains how her mum would knock her about and then go missing for days.
It’s a difficult time for Kelly right now, but can she get through it as Toyah and Imran support her?
If Laura grows angry after being reported, will she seek revenge?
