A lot has changed in Hollyoaks since we last visited the village – including a new look for Juliet Quinn (Niamh Blackshaw). But one thing that remains ongoing is the County Lines drug situation which is enveloping the children.
Hollyoaks will return to air with new episodes on Monday September 7, first showing on Channel 4 at 6:30pm, followed by the first look of the next episode on E4 at 7pm.
The episodes will pick up with Mitchell and Scott’s wedding day, filmed before lock-down but while there is heaps of drama to be found there, other plotlines are continuing, with Warren and Felix’s past continuing to unfold and Edwards manipulation of Tony worsening.
But the main topical line will be the drugs strand, which has seen Juliet fall completely under the spell of sinister Connor, who is using her to collect and deliver drugs as well as groom other children into the nasty web.
At the moment the teens of the village have been impacted but the even younger residents will also be pulled in.
A flash forward episode, which first teased Juliet’s new look, has confirmed that police will swarm the village at new year as things come to a head – and one character will die in tragic circumstances.
But there could be hope for Juliet as she and Peri confess their love to each other. Will Peri be able to pull Juliet back from the brink?
Or will she have already taken a step too far by then?
