Lauren Branning’s (Jacqueline Jossa) life is turned upside down in EastEnders as a result of a huge fire.
The former mainstay might not be in Walford at present, but word of the blaze soon reaches her nearest and dearest — with the exception of Max (Jake Wood) — when Peter Beale (Dayle Hudson) receives a phone call.
Yes, Lauren calls Peter from New Zealand to inform him that there has been a fire in her home, and therefore she now has nowhere to live.
Peter does what he can to help, as he turns to Ian (Adam Woodyatt), and pleads with him to assist Lauren financially.
However, he makes clear that she doesn’t want Max to know what’s happened.
Will Ian help Lauren?
What’s more, will Lauren be okay?
The answer to those questions remain to be seen, but there’s more heartache ahead for Peter, as he makes another devastating discovery.
When discussing his upset with Ash Panesar (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha), he shows shows her an email he found on Ian’s laptop.
Said email contains his dad’s will, and Peter is not included, while Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) is.
Will Peter retaliate?
