Spencer Matthews has apologised for his self-confessed "wooden performance" during his car-crash GMB presenting role.
The former Made In Chelsea star stepped in for showbiz reporter Richard Arnold while he was on holiday.
Speaking about Love Island’s Amber Davies starring in a West End, fellow reality TV star Spencer said: "It seems we’re all moving up in the world."
But Good Morning Britain viewers thought he looked like a ‘rabbit in the headlights’ as he struggled to find his feet.
Some claimed it was the ‘worst presenting’ they had ever seen – and Spencer did not argue with them.
Spencer posted a snap of himself on GMB on Instragram and apologised to his followers.
He said: "Such a huge amount of respect for people who regularly present live television – it’s a skill and it’s not easy.
"Had my first go this morning on @gmb and it’s safe to say that it didn’t go so well … Apologies for my lack of experience and wooden performance. I’ll loosen up and get better with time, hopefully!"
Spencer was clearly reading off a teleprompter and found it hard to improvise his lines.
In one of the most awkward moments. host Kate Garraway joked about Harper Beckham dressing like Anna Wintour.
She said: "Imitation is the best form of flattery and all that."
Spencer simply replied: "Absolutely."
There were a few awkward seconds before he continued with the next lines on the teleprompter.
Even veteran host Richard Madeley found it hard to get a response from Spencer.
Good Morning Britain viewers were not very supportive of Spencer.
Taking to Twitter , one viewer said: "Spencer looks like a Rabbit caught in the headlights"
"How on earth did Spencer Matthews get through the application process? #autocue," added another.
A third said: "Think Spencer Matthews has just proved most reality stars don’t have talent ! That was the worst presenting I’ve ever seen !"
*Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
