The friends and co-stars always work as a duo, including when they make guest appearances on shows. But the two bearded chefs have been forced to separate since Dave Myers was diagnosed with the virus. Speaking on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, half of the cooking double act Si King explained his colleague was still recovering as he updated fans on his condition.
Comedian Ross Noble was also on the cooking show, and asked Si: “Was it a rule that you can only have one Hairy Biker around at a time?”
Fellow comedian and guest Jimmy Carr chimed in to say: “Thank God, I thought it was Covid, I thought one of them had gone.”
“No, he’s still kicking but he does have Covid, which is why he’s not here,” explained the 54-year-old.
“Has this got any Covid in it?” Jimmy quipped, pointing to the dish Si had made for the guest to sample.
