Ron’s head will turn – Lana deserves the best & shouldn't be messed around, says Love Island’s best pal & Hollyoaks star | The Sun

LOVE Island star Lana Jenkins'romance with Ron Hall has been anything but smooth sailing – and now her Hollyoaks pal Bethannie Hare fears the hunky lad could be easily swayed by another girl.

Bethannie – who plays Cher McQueen on the Channel 4 soap – said Lana would make wonderful girlfriend because she's a "loyal" person with the "biggest heart".

The actress, 23, said she is proud of her friend and believes she's stolen the hearts of the nation.

But admitted that it's still early days and doesn't want to see her good pal being messed around by finance worker Ron.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Bethannie said: "I’m very protective about my best friend, every time Ron mentions another girl, I'm thinking you better be loyal to Lana.

"Lana is so pure, whatever she think she’ll say, she’ll never say anything that’s not true and you can really tell that she does really like him and it would be nice if he hopefully feels the same way back.

"It’s so weird seeing your best friend in the villa, but you’re hearing what the boys are saying and you’re like ‘oh you better not’."

The soap star praised the celebrity make-up artist for being herself in the villa and said she deserves to find happiness in the villa.

"She’s my best friend and I love her to pieces, when she told me she was going on the show I was just so excited for her because she has the biggest heart of anyone I know and I honestly think she’s going to win it as everyone’s fallen in love with her," Bethannie told us at the Dirty Dancing Gala launch on Wednesday.

"She’s so down to earth, she doesn’t know how beautiful she is and I think that’s really coming across and I she really is just a normal girl and I think everyone can relate and I’m just so excited."

She continued: "Lana is like the blonde version of me, we’re both very clumsy and ditsy, we have the most fun, whenever we’re together there is always something eventful – something funny that will happen.

"I am so excited just to see what else is going to happen because I know there is going to be many funny events happening in the villa.

"I think she’d be the best girlfriend and whoever she’s with in the villa would be very very lucky to have her."

Discussing whether she thinks Lana's head would turn for another guy, the soap star said: "I don’t know, we’ll see.

"I don’t know who’s going to come into the villa but Lana is so loyal and she’s the most genuine girl, so if someone was to come in, she’d be so honest and straight up about it.

"I really hope Lana finds love in there."

It comes after a preview at the end of last night's episode showed a downcast Ron complaining he had "f***ed" things with her.

The pair have been in trouble ever since new girl Ellie Spence arrived in the villa and chose to couple up with the financial expert.

Lana was seen fighting back tears after she moved in on her man, then cruelly branded their relationship "dead".

And Ron failed to help matters when it seemed like his head could be turned by Love Island's new arrival.

Ellie pulls Ron for a chat tonight saying: "I still wouldn't want to share a bed with anyone else but you."

However, Lana says she is no mood for sharing, telling her man: "I am not getting involved in a trio thing.

"I'm not… I'm not involved in this s***. So that's that."

The Luton girl was later seen breaking down in tears and being comforted by the girls saying: "I get too kind and then they walk all over me."
