RHOSLC: Who Is Jen Shah’s Husband, Sharrieff Shah?

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City never fails to entertain and amaze, especially through the wives’ luxurious tastes. Case in point: the cast sports such glamorous rocks that a diamond expert explained how expensive their rings really are.

What else should you know about this cast? There’s Meredith Marks, a jewelry designer who wasn’t shy to air her marital struggles on Bravo. Then there’s Mary Crosby who, amazingly, married her late grandmother’s second husband, but her bold attitude makes it clear that she doesn’t care what people think.

Then, of course, there’s Jen Shah. She grew up Mormon, which isn’t surprising since the show is based in Salt Lake City, but after learning about the religion’s mistreatment of Black people, converted to Islam. Jen is married to Sharrieff Shah and since her family is featured on Bravo, fans are excited to know more about him. We’ll give you a little teaser: he’s a lawyer who’s bananas about football. Here’s his story.

Sharrieff Shah switched from law to football coaching

There’s no doubt that Sharrieff Shah loves football. He actually played football at the University of Utah as a safety from 1990-1993, according to his University of Utah bio. Sadly, he had to stop playing because “he incurred a career-ending neck injury three games into his senior season.” Thankfully, Shah has been able to remain in the football world in other capacities. He’s one of the football coaches at the University of Utah, per Distractify, and he’s actually a certified agent for the NFL Players Association.

While football is his passion, Shah has been serious about education. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, which he earned in 1994. Then he went on to get a Master’s degree in exercise and sports science, per Distractify. This wasn’t even the end — Shah then went to law school at the University of Utah where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2001 and he worked as a lawyer for 12 years as both a commercial litigator and a trial attorney.

It all seems to come back to football for Shah, though. He worked as a sideline reporter at an affiliate ESPN station in Utah. And while he pursued law, Shah decided to go full-time into coaching in 2012. Shah likes to keep a low profile and his Twitter page is private but, as Women’s Health noted, all of his posts are about — you guessed it — football. We definitely know what his passion is!
