Buckingham Palace announced the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday 17 months after the death of Prince Philip in April 2021. Reflecting on the Queen’s life, GB News host Alastair Stewart noted the monarch’s use of her late husband’s walking stick.

He said: “There’s been concerns about Her Majesty’s health for some little time initially mobility and those got worse.

“She used a walking stick cherished by her late husband the Duke of Edinburgh when the two of them strode purposefully across the acres of Balmoral.

“As one of her great granddaughters said [Balmoral is] the happiest place in the world for her and for grandpa.”
