Now, royal fans have been paying attention to the ladies and enjoy learning little tidbits about their lives. Eugenie is very active on social media and her followers couldn’t help but notice the sweet nickname she calls her father. Here’s what that nickname is, plus a few odd and hilarious nicknames some other members of the royal family have for each other.
Eugenie’s nickname for her father
Princess Eugenie first revealed her dad’s nickname when she wished him a happy birthday via Instagram and called him “Papa.”
“Happy Birthday to you Papa…🎂🎁,” she captioned a series of photos. “We are so proud of you in everything you have achieved in your 59 years!!”
One of the pictures was of Andrew’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II, holding him when he was a child. That next snap was a black-and-white photo of her father in his younger years, followed by him walking her down the aisle on her wedding day, and then a more recent shot of the prince.

What Princess Eugenie’s family calls her
While it hasn’t been reported if Andrew has a nickname for his daughter we do know that Eugenie’s mother and sister do.
In an interview with British Vogue, Princess Beatrice revealed that she calls her sibling “Euge.” In turn Eugenie shortens her big sis’ first name as well and calls her “Bea.”
And what does the Duchess of York call her daughter? In the past Ferguson has been heard referring to her as “Eugie.”
Other nicknames members of the royal family have
Several other members of the royal family also have nicknames for one another that they use behind palace walls and some of them are quite unique.
Prince Philip has a pet name for his wife and calls Her Majesty “cabbage.”
According to The Times, he may have chosen to guve her that name because it originated from the French phrase “mon petit chou,” which translates to “my little cabbage” and also “my little pastry puff.”
Prince Charles calls his daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, “Tungsten” which is inspired by the very strong metal known for its robustness. He reportedly gave her the name to match the strength and determination she displays.
At the 2016 Royal Variety Performance, Camilla Parker Bowles told singer Lady GaGa that her grandkids actually call her “GaGa.”
And finally, Harry revealed that his later mother, Princess Diana, gave William the nickname “Wombat.”
“It began when I was 2. I’ve been rightfully told because I can’t remember back that far but when we went to Australia with our parents, and the wombat, you know, that’s the local animal,” Harry explained about why his brother got that name.
