Pierce (played by Tim Robards) and Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) haven’t had the most conventional of relationships on Neighbours, with former lovers and teenager children causing them countless problems. The pair are currently expecting a baby together, but with the expectant mother worried she will pass on the Huntington’s gene to her child, the pair have been at odds about what to do. It seems their dilemma could force them to part ways for good as Channel 5 soap star Tim, 37, made the decision to leave the show earlier than expected.
The actor said: “I made the gut-wrenching decision to depart Neighbours early as my responsibilities as a husband and father have to take precedence.
“I would like to thank the amazing cast, crew, Fremantle and Network Ten for the incredible opportunity to play Pierce Greyson.
“I have absolutely loved my time on the show and will miss it immensely,” he concluded in a statement.
Although Tim’s last appearance on screen in the UK will be November 9, 2020, actor Don Hany has been recast in the role to play out Pierce’s final scenes.
