The cast of Netflix’s international smash hit have been leaving the set one by one over the past few weeks. Lisbon star Itziar Ituño is the latest to say their tearful farewells to Money Heist in her new post on Instagram, prompting emotional reactions from her numerous followers.
Itziar Ituño has joined her fellow co-stars in penning a heartfelt farewell post on Instagram as filming for the fifth season of Money Heist starts to wrap up.
The highly anticipated final instalment of the Spanish drama is expected to hit Netflix later this year after season four was released last May.
Ituño followed Pedro Alonso, Jaime Lorente and Miguel Herrán, who all said goodbye to the series in similar fashion.
Her latest post featured a selfie of the actress carrying a basket of flowers to mark the occasion, as well as stills of her fan favourite character, Raquel Murillo.
Translated from Spanish, her caption reads: “Now yes! GOODBYE, Inspector Raquel Murillo, Lisbon thief!! What a trip!!
“Now yes! GOODBYE, AGUR, CIAO, ADEU, ADIOS, BYE, AU REVOIR Raquel Murillo, Aio Lisboa!!! What a trip!”
Raquel kicked off the first season as the Inspector in charge of the police’s efforts to put a stop to The Professor (Álvaro Morte) and his team in the Royal Mint.
She has since joined the team and started a relationship with the criminal mastermind, playing a crucial part in the show’s second heist in the Bank of Spain.

Having glimpsed the latest update, many of Ituño’s 4.8 million followers took to the comments to share their own farewells to her beloved character.
One emotional fan wrote: “It will be very sad to say goodbye to Raquel Murillo. I love her for all her flaws.
“I want to thank you for doing it justice, but I also want to thank you for guiding me to you, because you also made a great impact in my life. Thank you both, Itzi and Raquel.”
In the first season, Raquel immediately became one of the show’s most sympathetic characters thanks to her efforts to escape her troubled home life.

As the pressure to stop the ongoing heist starts to mount, the diligent Inspector is also struggling to leave her abusive husband, Alberto (Miquel García Borda) and gain custody of their daughter.
Facing judgement from her family and friends, Raquel nevertheless managed to pull through with her decision.
She later gained a new lease of life by quitting the Spanish police force to pursue a romance with the Professor and aid the robbers in their second thrilling heist.
Another of Ituño’s fans commented: “Thank you so so so much for portraying this amazing character!”
“I’m absolutely not ready to say goodbye to Raquel Murillo. Thank you Itziar! You are amazing!”
And a third said simply: “Raquel, you are always in my heart.”
As even the stars’ farewell posts on Instagram are prompting outbursts of emotion, fans are already preparing for the waterworks when Money Heist’s final season is eventually released.
