Molly-Mae Hague weighs in on Gemma and Luca’s relationship after ‘dry’ date

Molly-Mae Hague has shared her thoughts on Gemma Owen and Luca Bish’s controversial relationship after the loved-up couple went on their final Love Island date.

During Friday night’s (July 29) visit to the Spanish villa, the Islanders were treated to an extravagant date for their final outing in the ITV2 dating series as the grand final looms ever closer.

The 19-year-old and the Brighton fishmonger, 23, were invited to a private courtyard where they were serenaded by a six-piece ensemble before they sat down to reflect on their time on the show.

The blonde bombshell shared a snap from her sprawling Manchester home as she watched Gemma during the date, where she gushed over how pretty the international dressage rider is, writing: “What a girl.”

She added: “But is hers and Luca’s love language acting like they hate each other? Because that date was different.”

And she wasn’t the only one who was left feeling uncomfortable during their final date, with some viewers labelling it “dry” and “awkward” especially as Gemma appeared to “friendzone” Luca when she branded him her “best made.”

As they talked about life outside of the villa, Luca said: “Even on the outside world, at this time in my life I didn’t think someone would come around and make me feel how you have.”

Gemma replied: “Since I’ve met you, I’m like, you’re more than just a partner. I do genuinely think I've found a best mate in here.”

He added: “Me too. Obviously being here with you, I don’t think I would have had a better date and I am lucky to have you.”

It comes after Luca told Gemma to “f**k off “as he took his mic off and stormed out of the villa after a blazing argument.

The pair locked horns after the Islander took part in the Mile High-themed challenge, which saw Gemma lick Adam Collard’s chest which left the fishmonger green with envy.

He went on to push her at one point as she leaned in for a kiss during the fun-filled challenge which forced her to address his sour “mood” back at the villa.
