Marnie Simpson gives birth to second child saying 'our family is complete'

Marnie Simpson has given birth to her second child.

The Geordie Shore star, 30,shared the happy news on social media today, telling fans: “Baby boy has arrived safe and sound.

“We’re completely in awe, our family is complete.”

Marnie and fiancé Casey Johnson, 26, are already parents to Rox, two.

The couple were inundated with messages of congratulations from their famous pals and fans.

Olivia Bowen, who is pregnant herself commented: "Omg Marnie 🥹❤️ so happy for you all sending soooo much love congratulations xxxxxx."

Her MTV co-stars Chloe Ferry and Charlotte Crosby also sent well wishes.

The reality star previously revealed she is insisting on having on a C-section for her second baby, despite it being against doctor's orders.

She explained: "It’s been pretty awful. They’ve been trying to get me to agree to have a natural birth even after I had such a traumatic experience.

Marnie went on to open up about how she is nervous for her second birth after admitting she felt her body "failed" her with welcoming Rox.

Marnie was diagnosed with a chronic UTI in 2016 and after giving birth to baby Rox in 2019, her symptoms began to get a lot worse.

She said: "I’m definitely nervous, but I think that’s only natural after what I went through.

"I’m trying to take it each day as it comes and not worry about it too much.

"Obviously, I don’t want to put too much stress on the baby and my body, but it’s always going to be nerve-wracking as it’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced before."

Marnie had an operation to burn the lining of her bladder off, for it to then restore and repair itself and is now doing a lot better.

Marnie and Casey met on the show Single AF in 2017.

Casey hit the spotlight in 2014 after auditioning for The X Factor. The singer joined the band Union J in May 2016, but left just under a year later.

Last year they moved into a £1.5million seven-bedroom home.

The pair previously confessed that the pregnancy was a happy surprise, with it coming just months after their fleeting split in January.

And having postponed their wedding plans due to the Covid pandemic after getting engaged in August 2020, the two now hope to tie the knot in the summer – making 2022 an even more exciting year for the stars.
