Love Island’s Tanya gets to know Casa Amor hunk as she teases ‘proper test’ away from Shaq

Tonight's instalment of Love Island is set to be a juicy one after ITV have given viewers a clue as to what they can expect from Casa Amor.

The eagerly-anticipated segment of this year's show will see new lads Kain, a 21 year old energy consultant from Gateshead, Ryan, a 22 year old steel erector from Nottingham, Frankie, a 22 year old boxer from Ipswitch and Maxwell, a 23 year old finance student from London join the line-up.

Also set to enter the villa with the aim of swaying this year's love-hungry single girls are 25 year old operations manager Bayley, and 27 year old software engineer Martin.

Tonight's episode will see the girls hosting their new play-mates in the gorgeous South African villa, but it appears to be Tanya Manhenga – who has remained in a couple with beau Shaq Muhammad since episode one – tempted astray.

New boy Martin tells the girls: "You lot look gorgeous."

"You are all my type!" Kain says, seconding the rather forward motion.

It is then that Surrey-born cheeky chap Bayley asks them: "Which ones of you are 'wifed off' already then?"

Tanya – a 23 year old biomedical science student from Liverpool – who is yet to take her eyes off Day One beau Shaq, 24, then explains her situation.

"I’m coupled up with Shaq," she tells the new boys. "Me and him have been like this from the beginning."

She then crosses her fingers before going on to say: "We’ve kind of left it on 'we will see'".

Seemingly enjoying some time away from Shaq – just weeks after the pair dropped the L-bomb – Tanya sets some time aside later in the show to get to know Martin as he tells her: "You’ve not really had a proper test."

Tanya replies: "Do you think you’re my proper test?"

"I’m the exam, the main event and I feel like you know it, too," Martin teases back.

Meanwhile, ring girl Olivia Hawkins, 27 – who has experienced a far from plain-sailing journey since she strutted into the luxurious villa – tells the new boys when asked about her partner Kai Fagan, 24, "I've forgotten his name…" before clarifying it would take "a lot" to turn her head.

Speaking alone, Maxwell asks Olivia if he would be wasting his time if he wanted to get to know her, to which she replies: "No you’re not wasting your time, you’re an attractive guy and definitely my type."

Similarly, Kain tells make-up artist Lana Jenkins, 25, "If I had to describe my type, it’s you to a T", whilst Aussie girl Jessie Wynter tells Frankie: "If someone was going to top Will [Young] it would have to be next level."

"It would just have to be Frankie," he jokingly hits back.

Later in the show, as music starts to play in new villa Casa Amor and the and new lads begin laughing and singing together, the 'original' boys waiting in the main villa are far from amused.

"It makes me miss them being able to hear them," teacher Kai admits to his fellow islanders.

Recruitment consultant Casey O'Gorman, 26, then exclaims, "They’ve got music!", to which famer Will, 23, jokes, "Sorry, can they turn that down a little bit?"

The following morning, the boys in the main villa receive a shock as a fresh bunch of girls – including Layla, a 28 year old brand managing director from London, Sammy, a 27 year old beauty buyer from Leicester and Cynthia, a 25 year old dental receptionist from London – strut into the house.

Also joining them are 24 year old social worker Sanam from Bedford, 22 year old retail customer assistant Lydia from Glasgow and 22 year old singer and health care assistant Lynda.

Sammy is first to open the door into the garden as she says: "Hey boys, we heard you were alone!"

After they all introduce themselves, Casey and Shaq give the girls a guided tour of the villa, during which Lydia cheekily asks: "Is that where you’re going to be making me my coffee in the morning, Casey…?"

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
