Love Island stars Mary Bedford and Millie Court got the same tattoo in a bizarre coincidence before they entered the Spanish villa.
During last night’s explosive episode, the 22-year-old's family and friends took to her Instagram stories to answer a quick Q&A with her loyal legion of fans.
But one question left viewers perplexed after they revealed the blonde bombshell’s latest ink which shared a striking resemblance to piano-playing Millie’s secret artwork.
Explaining the thought behind her newest tattoo, they said: “Mary got this tiny lightning bolt before she went in the villa so she always had something to look at and remind herself to stay grounded & that everything is okay & she will be alright no matter what.”
But she wasn’t the only one who opted for the small tattoo, after they shared how 24-year-old Millie also had the same idea to remind her to stay true to herself when in the villa.
They added: “We also found out recently Millie Court got the exact same tattoo but in a different place right before she went in the villa.
“The lightning bolt is the symbol of Love Island 2021 this year,” with a cry-laughing emoji.
Tattoo parlour The Skull and Sword explained the meaning behind the significant symbol online.
They wrote: “Done correctly, a lightning bolt can mean power, swiftness and decisiveness. Similar to a thunderbolt (but not the same), lightning represents a split-second moment.”
But they aren’t the only Islanders to flaunt their visible ink, as this year’s contestants could host the most tattoos in Love Island history as many of the sexy singletons are covered in impressive artwork.
One tattoo which has caught viewer’s eyes was Millie’s Island beau Liam Reardon whose memorable tattoo have become quite the saying around the villa.
On his right arm, his tattoo reads: “Don’t count the days, make the days count” which has proven to be the case as the Welsh heartthrob has fought tooth and claw to keep his place in the hit ITV2 dating show.
And now the rest of the cast could be looking at getting some fresh work when the show wraps up as tattoo artist Abigail Rawlings vowed to get them inked with her former partner Dale Mehmet the first in line.
On Sunday’s episode of Aftersun the Scottish dreamboat revealed he has plans to get a new neck piece to add to his growing collection of tattoos by the brunette beauty and fans can’t wait to see what they have planned.
