The Grand Tour presents: Lochdown sees hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May travel to the Outer Hebrides for their latest venture. Because of travels restrictions, the trio had to stick to the Scottish Highlands while filming for the Amazon Prime series. The former Top Gear presenters are renowned for getting themselves into sticky situations when driving. However, during the one-off special, Jeremy ended up running into trouble when towing his caravan.

Before they set out on another journey, Jeremy said to his co-hosts: “We need to find the A9 [road].”

He joked: “One thing you can’t do in Scotland is navigate using the sun.”

“You can’t navigate by clouds, they move,” Richard chipped in. “How about guessing?”

The trio then set off on their journey to find the A9, although, it wasn’t long before Jeremy landed himself in hot water.

The 61-year-old ended up have “two small accidents” along the way.

The first mishap took place as he was trying to wedge his bright blue caravan out of a gate.

He ended up scraping the blue paint off the side of the caravan as he adamantly drove through the small gap.

“But soon we were back on the move with pathfinder Hammond once again on point,” he said.

As he was driving along, Richard said: “Any minute now there will be a T-junction and a small road rather than a track, then a big road.”

“Then, all of that didn’t happen,” he continued.

“Hammond has brought us on a rally special,” Jeremy commented as they drove down a rather bumpy road.

As the presenter’s items were being thrown around in the back of their caravans, Richard asked: “Is this the A9?”

“No,” Jeremy answered. “There are no speed cameras on it, that’s how you know it’s not the A9.”

Before he could finish his sentence, Jeremy was sent into a panic after his caravan disconnected itself from his car and ended up off the road and down a bank.

“Oh no!” he shouted. “S**t.”

As they got out of their cars to see what the damage was, James found the entire situation hilarious as he couldn’t stop laughing.

“I’m sorry, that was hilarious,” he laughed.

As he pointed to his car, Jeremy joked: “So, ladies and gentlemen what is missing from this picture?”

“It was just epic,” Richard commented as James added: “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

He continued: “If you put that in a Tom and Jerry cartoon it would be absurd.”

In the end, the trio decided to abandon the caravan and continued on with their journey to the A9.
