ALEX Rodriguez and fiance Jennifer Lopez are enlisting JPMorgan Chase in an effort to buy baseball's New York Mets.
Sources told Variety that the power couple is trying to raise capital for a possible bid on the franchise.
The slugger and pop star have a combined net worth of about $700 million, according to the news outlet.
The Mets are currently owned by the Wilpon family, who recently came close to selling the team to billionaire hedge fund manager Steve Cohen.
However, negotiations between the two sides would fall apart.
The Wilpons would still have had control of the team for five years under terms of the deal.
That condition would not be included in a possible sale involving Rodriguez and Lopez, according to Variety.
Rodriguez came close to playing a part of his career with the Mets, but signed a $250 million deal with the Texas Rangers in 2000.
