THE 79th Golden Globe Awards are due to take place on January 9, 2022.

The ceremony will have a different feel to its predecessors, with a much smaller, scaled back awards.

What time is the Golden Globes 2022 on in the UK?

The Golden Globes will be held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles at 6pm Pacific Time.

This means the ceremony will start at 2am on Monday, January 10.

How to watch the Golden Globes 2022 in the UK

The Golden Globes is not due to be televised due to not being able to find a broadcast partner.

NBC pulled their broadcasting duties in May 2021.

The prestigious award ceremony will be going ahead this year but on a much smaller scale.

There will be no celebrity presenters, red carpet or audience for the first time in 14 years.

It is possible that the smaller ceremony is due to the rise of coronavirus cases in the US, however, the Globes have been hit with boycott over its lack of diversity.

The winners of the awards will be announced via a live stream that viewers can watch either on goldenglobes.com or on the Golden Globes YouTube channel.

What Golden Globes 2022 awards are up for grabs?

The Golden Globes sees awards dished out for films and TV Shows.

Film Belfast, starring Jude Hill, Jamie Dornan and Caitriona Balfe, grabbed the most nominations for a movie with a total of seven including Best Motion Picture-Drama and Kenneth Branagh for Best Director Drama.

Succession was the highest nominated TV show with five in total.

Nominations included Best television Series-Drama, and Best Performance In A television Series-Drama, for Brian Cox.
