Who is Rick Astley and how old is he?
Rick Astley is an English singer-songwriter best known for chart-topper Never Gonna Give You Up.
He is 52-years-old and was born in Newton-le-Willows in Lancashire.
Rick became interested in music at an early age and joined the local church choir when he was 10.
When he was older he began playing the drums in a few bands on the Northern club circuit, resulting in him winning come talent competitions.
In the mid-80s he was performing with soul band FBI when he was noticed by Pete Waterman, who brought him to London to work at the Pete Waterman Limited recording studio.
He went on to record Never Gonna Give You Up in 1987, which was released the following year.
Including his first album, Whenever You Need Somebody, Rick Astley has released seven albums.
His latest album Try is also released on vinyl.
The busy singer will now support Take That on tour.
He is married to Lene Bausager, who he has one daughter with – Emile. In 1993 he retired to focus on his family but returned to music almost 10 years later after singing a co-publishing deal with Polydor.

What is Rick Astley's net worth?
Rick Astley's net worth is believed to be around £12.5million.
In a previous interview with the Telegraph, he said: "What happened to me in the Eighties was totally far from what most people would consider reality. My 1987 single Never Gonna Give You Up made me a millionaire by the age of 22.
"Unless you’ve won the football pools or the lottery, that’s pretty ridiculous. It shouldn’t happen to anyone."
He added that the money hadn't made much of a difference at the time.
He said: "For four or five years I barely had a minute to sit down, let alone spend anything. Those were bizarre times."
What is 'rickrolling'?
Rickrolling was an internet prank which began appearing from around 2007.
This consisted of a video claiming to be of a certain subject (for example, a film trailer) but then actually being the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
Speaking to Rolling Stone about the phenomenon years later in 2016, he said: "It's done me a lot of good, probably. The thing is it's not personal to me, even though I know it is me and it's my name in the title of Rickrolling. It's that video that I'm in, it's that song that's mine, but it could have been anybody."
