WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Good Omens.
Good Omens may have just returned for its second season on Amazon Prime Video after four years but subscribers are keen for more.
The fantasy drama starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen as Crowley and Aziraphale respectively is based on the Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett book of the same name.
Its plot was then brought to life in 2019 for the small screen, subsequently winning over a new legion of fans who may not have known of the story beforehand.
There was a gap between the two series coming out as while the first series was based on the book, author Gaiman had to create an entirely new story for the second series.
With the new season going down a storm, Daily Express US delves into what the future looks like for Good Omens.

Will there be a Good Omens season 3?
Good Omens has not yet been renewed for a third season by Amazon Prime Video.
It wasn’t clear if there was to be a series two even given that the first outing was based on the book and the latest episodes were created especially for the streaming service.
While there hasn’t been official confirmation there is more to come, Gaiman has stated a third season has been “planned and plotted”.
Due to the ongoing writers’ strikes however, shows in the US are not currently being given the green light until it has been resolved.

Taking to Twitter to explain the situation, Gaiman confirmed: “It’s planned and plotted and if there wasn’t a Writers Strike on I’d be writing it right now.”
He also explained to SFX: “Because the hypothetical season three exists, there is a story that is there, and I didn’t feel that we could drive straight from season one into that.
“I knew what the stakes were. I knew what the parameters were. I also knew that I had David [Tennant] and Michael [Sheen].
“I had the angels from plot number one. I had demons from plot number one.
“And with anybody that I wanted to bring back, but didn’t have room for right now, I did not have to bring them back as themselves.”
Sheen also stated to Comicbook.com he would be more than happy to reprise his role as Aziraphale.
“Yeah. If it was up to us, that would be one thing, but…
“I mean, hopefully, let’s just hope that enough people watch season two to make it ineffable,” he joked, using the show’s famous line, before recorrecting himself with “Inevitable”.
Good Omens is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
