Tennis legend Martina Navratilova brightened up Good Morning Britain viewers’ start to the week as she appeared on the ITV show and did an entire interview in her pyjamas.
GMB hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley introduced Martina, 65, to the ITV show to discuss the ongoing situation with fellow tennis player Novak Djokovic.
However, as she spoke about her views on Novak’s choice not to be vaccinated, viewers were left distracted by Martina’s choice to wear her pink silk nightwear.
One viewer said: “Martina in her pyjamas on GMB on a Monday morning is the start to the week I needed.”
A second said: “Shout out to Martina who has gone on GMB in her pyjamas. I haven't been brave enough to do that on work calls, never mind on national television.”
Another added: “@GMB love Martina in her pyjamas.” A third then wrote: “Love that she’s wearing her pyjamas for the interview.”
While others commented that it was refreshing to see Martina and encapsulated their Monday morning routine perfectly.
Martina herself acknowledged that she was wearing her pyjamas at the beginning of her chat with Susanna and Richard.
While presenter Richard later went on to explain the reason behind Martina’s attire, revealing she’d stayed up until the early hours to chat to them live from her home in Miami, America.
At the end of their chat, Richard thanked Martina as he told viewers: “We’re really grateful to you for joining us.”
He continued: “As it’s an unearthly hour where you’re speaking from so we appreciate your time on this.”
In the interview, Martina waded into the Novak debate following unconfirmed reports that the sports star was facing deportation from Australia once more.
This comes after he had previously won his visa appeal to remain in the country and compete in the Australian Open.

Sharing her opinion, Martina said: “It’s beyond belief, really. What a saga. It all could have been avoided. So many people messed up and took some things for granted.”
She then said: “I just wish that Novak had taken that vaccination to begin with. I admire him so much but I can’t defend the choice to not get vaccinated."
