Geordie Shore favourite ‘axed’ from show in major cast change

Geordie Shore has had a major cast change – meaning a returning favourite may no longer be returning.

The Geordie girl, Sophie Kasaei, has been in the show since it started, in 2011, as is one of the remaining original stars.

But insiders have revealed she may no longer be seen on the amazing holidays the cast go on, but talks are stil ongoing on whether she will be returning to the show.

A source told The Sun : "It’s one of the biggest shake ups they’d had in a long time and this time Sophie’s head was on the block.

"She has been told she’s taking a supporting role in the next series and will only be appearing on screen at certain points throughout the series.

“When they go into lock-down in the house at the start of January, Sophie won’t be living with them.”

It has been reported that Chloe Ferry and Sam Gowland will return to the show when filming starts up again in the new year, but Sophie may sadly not be one of the returning cast members.

This is not the first time she is out of the show, as she was sacked from the series in 2013 for alleged "racist langauge."

Sophie denied these claims and returned to the show last year, but expressed her devastation at havign been "labelled" as a racist.

She said: "Of course I am not a racist and to have been mistakenly labelled as one was devastating.

“I paid the ultimate price and lost my place on the show. Those three years were the hardest in my life, I went on a downward spiral and was really unhappy.

“But I learnt my lesson and have moved forward, so for my sake I hope that people drop it now and can remember the bubbly bundle of fun that I was on the show in the first place."

Geordie Shore starts up again next year.

MirrorOnline has contacted MTV and reps for Sophie Kasaei for comment.
