Emmerdale's Dominic Brunt jokes Mark Charnock gets paid a fiver more than him

Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) are two characters at the heart of Emmerdale. Mention Emmerdale to a friend or family member and you’re almost guaranteed they’ll know Paddy and Marlon – they’ve been in the show for 25 years!

Over the years, Marlon and Paddy’s friendship has grown.

They’ve faced laughter, tears, arguments, many (many) love interests but still, after all they’ve been through, their friendship is still so strong.

Most recently, Marlon and Paddy were a part of the show’s Super Soap Week.

The lovable characters didn’t face life-threatening danger in the form of falling from a broken bridge, but they certainly faced jeopardy when they got…

Lost in the woods!

*Gasp!*

Metro.co.uk spoke to Dominic Brunt recently, and we couldn’t resist asking him about working with Mark Charnock for 25 years:

‘Mark and I, we do anything to keep working together and have scenes together. When they said [before Super Soap Week], “we’ve got some scenes coming up with you and Marlon”, I was so happy.

‘We’ve been very lucky for 25 years to be given such brilliant, hilarious scenes. Well, I say 25, I think Mark is about 6 months ahead.’

‘I think he gets paid an extra fiver more than me!’
