Emmerdale spoilers: Paddy Kirk for more heartache after shock outburst?

Emmerdale ended the double bill with a surprising scene tonight; Paddy Kirk (played by Dominic Brunt) losing his temper and standing up to his father Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards).

It came after Paddy and Chas Dingle’s (Lucy Pargeter) decided to commemorate Grace’s memory with a beer garden at the back of the Woolpack.

And as the village gathered for the grand opening, there was one person missing, Bear.

After scouting around for him, Paddy found out he had been hiding in the cafe and chose not to attend the short ceremony.

Understandably the vet was furious and wasted no time in telling his father exactly what he thought of him.

Bear entered the back room in the pub and said: “I don’t know what to do, for the best.”

And Paddy replied: “Why don’t you try and stop lying? Why don’t you do what you say you’re going to do? Just turn up! Chas’ family manage it don’t they?”

“Look mate I’d have been there if I really thought that’s what you wanted, but you had already folks around you. There was so much love for you there and like I’ve said I’m not very good at this. I would have said the wrong thing or done the wrong thing,” the wrestler argued.

“What on earth, even you, cold have said or done that would have been so wrong today,” his son shouted back.

“I was just starting to like you as well, despite everything you’ve done since you got here. Well I don’t need this and I don’t need you and I’m not a child and my kid does not need a compulsive liar for a grandad,” and with that Paddy turned on his heel and sat back at the table.

Taken aback by his display of anger, Bear asked: “So what you saying? Do you want me to leave?”

“Do what you want. You always do anyway,” Paddy remarked.

Will Bear leave the village and Paddy behind?

Elsewhere in Emmerdale, Harriet Finch’s (Katherine Dow Blyton) stalker was revealed last night.

Viewers tuned in to see Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) welcome her father Will (Dean Andrews) back.

After supposedly being dead, he was exposed as the person who has been tormenting the vicar for the past few weeks.

Fans know how Harriet was attacked and mugged, the church vandalised as well as several cold calls being placed.

And whilst Dawn seems to be on her father’s side, there has been some doubt about the factory workers alliance.

In a scene aired during last night’s episode, Dawn tried to convince Will to “back off” but it seems he has other ideas.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV.
