Emmerdale spoilers – Manpreet feared DEAD as she disappears following Meena's torment; plus EastEnders & Corrie news

Denise Van Outen reveals HUGE row with Emmerdale star

Denise Van Outen has revealed how an almighty row between her and former pal, Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy, ended their tight friendship.

In another of the shocking revelations from the presenter's tell-all book, A Bit of Me, Denise talks about how the pair fell out when Denise put a man before her mate.

The former Big Breakfast presenter, 47, became close with soap star Sheree in her late teens.

Sheree, who is now married to footballer Harry Kewell, went on to play Tricia Dingle in Emmerdale, Eva Strong in Hollyoaks and Dakota Davies in Neighbours.

She also finished in third place on I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2005 and enjoyed a stint on Loose Women.

But back then she and Denise were just two aspiring stars who ended up becoming close after Denise dated a DJ called Darren who was pals with Sheree's brother.

Quickly, Denise ended up moving in with Sheree and her family around the age of 17, claiming the living arrangement "just sort of happened".

But when the two teenagers went out clubbing and Denise decided to go back to Darren's rather than heading home with Sheree, their friendship soured.

Denise recalls: "This story saddens me a bit because Sheree and I were good friends, and I suppose it was my relationship with Darren and the way it came about that came between us for a long time."

Coming up in Emmerdale, the landlady makes a huge decision about their feud.

After snatching the iconic pub away from Al Chapman, Charity (played by Emma Atkins) was perhaps expecting some gratitude from Chas (Lucy Pargeter).

Corrie fans call out glaring newspaper blunder

CORRIE fans were already surprised when Abi Webster unexpectedly gave birth to a baby boy.

But during last night's instalment of the ITV soap, they were even more baffled when she was featured in the Weatherfield Gazette.

It's another blunder for the cobbles amid Abi's pregnancy nightmare.

Wednesday's trip to Weatherfield left fans of the long-running drama scratching their heads after they learned Abi (played by Sally Carman) had been picked for a "centre page spread" in the local newspaper.

Abi was made aware of this by her sister-in-law Debbie (Sue Devaney) who confronted her upon reading the front page of the newspaper.

However, Coronation Street viewers were quick in pointing out how unrealistic this was.

As they mentioned on Twitter, this would never happen since the gazette would not be able to name Abi as the drug-addicted mother who left her baby in Weatherfield hospital.

One fuming viewer scoffed: "Oh please. The Weatherfield Gazette would not name Abi. And how the hell have they got a centre spread out of this non-story without interviewing her?"

"Are the media actually allowed to name the mother like that??", another wrote.

Emmerdale HAD to axe Meena’s character

Emmerdale writer Sharon Marshall has addressed why the soap’s Meena storyline must end soon.

Speaking on ITV’s This Morning on Wednesday, Phillip Schofield asked Sharon whether the ITV team were planning Meena’s comeuppance.

Sharon replied: "We do love the serial killers and go: 'Is there a way to keep them in? Can people get away with it?.'"

The soap writer however explained that given the depth of Meena’s (Paige Sandhu) character, it wasn’t going to be a valid option to keep the twisted psychopath in the show.

"We said: 'Is there a way legally she could go through this, if she pleads a certain way?' The research team read out 25 counts of illegal activity that she’d done just on-screen that we knew about, probably more off-screen."

"She’d broken the law 25 times, so probably not," Sharon added.
