Things have been rocky between Cain and Moira ever since he discovered she was cheating on him with Nate Robinson who, in a shock twist, turned out to be Cain’s son.
But viewers watched Cain rush to Moira’s side when she was injured in a horrific hit-and-run accident – and stay by her side ever since.
Thinking Moira was unconscious in the hospital bed, Cain poured his heart out to her and admitted he still loved her.
But next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see a spanner thrown in the works for Cain and Moira’s blossoming relationship as she is haunted by her past following her brother’s arrival.
Viewers will see Moira sit Mackenzie down and tell him she needs to reveal a dark secret.
What is she about to reveal?
Later, after Mackenzie leaves viewers will see Moira sobbing alone.
And when Cain spots Mackenzie in the village, he aggressively squares up to him and orders him to leave immediately.
Meanwhile, Rhona tries to support Moira and tells her she’s always there if she needs her.
But the pair are soon interrupted by Cain, who is raging about Mackenzie.
But when Moira is quick to warn Cain to leave her brother alone, Cain looks startled.
But has she just pushed Cain away too?
Speaking about Mackenzie’s arrival in the village, Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson revealed: "We've got Moira’s brother Mackenzie arriving and of course he is coming with a secret, that you think that you are going to find out, and then there is going to be another revelation a little further down the line."
She added: “He is a troublemaker. He’s good looking, he turns heads and he is gonna mess things up with the Tates, and he’s gonna mess things up for the Dingles.
“He is a real force to be reckoned with.”
