Emmerdale fans sure Andrea is still alive as they ‘work out’ Meena revenge plan

Emmerdale fans seem sure that Andrea Tate is actually still alive and will return as part of a revenge plan on evil Meena Jutla.

Meena (Paige Sandhu) went after Andrea (Anna Nightingale) in the maize maze a few weeks ago after Andrea saw her trying to drown Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins).

The last viewers saw of tragic Andrea was her still alive – but only just – although the ITV soap did air scenes in which Kim Tate (Claire King) confirmed that a body found was her daughter-in-law's.

Despite this, some viewers reckon Andrea is still alive, as they never saw the body, and that she is working with police to bring down twisted Meena.

One person tweeted: "I think Andrea is still alive and helping police catch Meena. Last time we saw Andrea she was alive."

Another said: "Told you and Andrea I think is in police to protection to catch that Meena."

A third wrote: "Andrea is really alive they planned this to catch Meena out as Kim is in on the plan that's why she identified her body."

And someone else added: "Hope Andrea is not dead either and puts Meena in prison it would be priceless to see."

While Andrea is yet to return from the dead, her estranged husband Jamie Tate did come back earlier this week after going missing.

After Andrea's death, her mum Hazel (Kate Anthony) came to collect little Millie (Willow Bell) to take to Jamie (Alexander Lincoln), instead of his mum Kim.

Sadly, while Jamie is definitely still alive, Emmerdale bosses have confirmed that he has now left the soap and won't be returning any time soon.

A statement released by ITV said: "Although there are no current plans for the character of Jamie Tate to return to Emmerdale, the audience now has the proof Jamie Tate is still alive and at large."

Actor Alexander Lincoln took to Instagram to share some memories from his time on the soap and wrote: "Goodbye Dales, goodbye Jamie, it’s been a ride. I’ve met the most incredible people and I’m gonna miss them all terribly. Thank you to everyone who watched and supported. You’re all beautiful. Onwards to the next exciting chapter!"

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm, with an extra episode Thursdays at 8pm, on ITV
