The actress joined This Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on Tuesday morning to discuss her latest documentary, Asking For It, which takes a look at sexual harassment online. She broke down in tears as she recalled some of the nasty messages she receives from online accounts on a daily basis.
Phillip mentioned there is one person in particular who continues to message despite Emily blocking his multiple accounts.
Emily explained the individual whose identity she didn’t know, would message her after his wife and children had fallen asleep.
She said he calls himself “daddy Dave” explaining he often used the phrase “daddy”.
She expressed it was traumatic and psychologically damaging before breaking down into tears, with Holly leaning forward to comfort her.
