EastEnders star Michelle Collins rushed to doctors after falling ill suddenly | The Sun

EASTENDERS star Michelle Collins has been rushed to the doctors after falling unwell suddenly and needing treatment.

The soap actress – who played Cindy Beale in the BBC programme until 1998 – took to Twitter to give her fans a health update.

Michelle, 60, who is also known for playing Stella Price in Coronation Street, told her social media fans she had been to a walk-in clinic.

The actress thanked staff at the Finchley Memorial walk-in centre for helping "have tests" and giving her antibiotics to get her on the mend.

Sharing a photo of the clinic, she wrote: "Thank you so much, under two hour wait and great staff, doctors, polite, well mannered.

"Thank god we still have these to put less pressure on A&E, had tests and went away with antibiotics."

While the TV star didn't reveal what was wrong, she reassured her followers she was on the mend as they rushed to comment.

"Hope all is OK now?" one asked, to which Michelle replied: "Yes, thanks. I'll be fine now, so nice of you to ask."

The Sun Online have reached out to Michelle's representative.

It comes after Michelle hit out against trolls who have hounded her for marrying a toy boy 20 years her junior earlier this year.

She and Mike, 38, tied the knot in August after ten years together – but some fans have been sending cruel messages to the star.

Hitting out against the haters, the actress took to Instagram with an emotional quote as she told her following she was "so fed up".

The quote read: ""I am old, but my heart is young. We always have the same years in our soul, I know it's the perfect age.

"Each year is special and precious and we can live in each. Don't regret getting old, it's a privilege that not everyone has."

She added in the caption: "I am so fed up with people obsessed with age. I don't care about it, it's others that are. Age is just a number."
