Former Hollyoaks star Charlie Wernham is set to join BBC soap EastEnders this autumn playing the character Aaron Monroe.
Charlie will be making a stop in Albert Square to visit his father and his younger sister Harvey and Dana Monroe but the character soon becomes distracted by his surroundings and decides to stick around for a while.
Dana, played by actress Barbara Smith will be moving into Walford with dad Harvey who is played by actor Ross Boatman.
In the next coming weeks as the family moves in, Dana's rocky relationship with Bobby Beale will begin to unfold and audiences will discover whether her partnership with Bobby will stand the test of time.
Aaron is Harvey's eldest son who is defiant and wayward in nature. Aaron is someone who is confident and enjoys getting his own way.
Although Aaron is close to his father, as soon as he gained a job in finance he packed up and left and never looked back.
Aaron and Dana also have a somewhat strained relationship, with Dana often feeling shut off and dismissed by her older sibling.
Cheeky chap Aaron is fiercely loyal and understanding but this is sometimes overshadowed by his arrogance and cocky nature, which is often his downfall.

Although fans will become acquainted with new character Aaron, this isn't the first time comedian and actor Charlie has been involved in a major British soap.
Charlie previously played Robbie Roscoe in channel 4's Hollyoaks and has appeared in The Inbetweeners and School of Comedy before starring in BBC’s Bad Education.
In 2008, Charlie auditioned for the second series of the ITV talent show Britain's Got Talent where he performed a variety of jokes for the judges.
The judges were left impressed with his witticism and comical timing, with head judge Simon Cowell commenting: "We've had some rotten comedians on this show, but you're the only one who's made me laugh and told jokes that I could understand."

Discussing his role in EastEnders, Charlie has expressed his excitement to join the cast and has said it has always been a childhood dream of his.
The star explained: "It was always a childhood dream of mine to be in EastEnders. It’s a show that’s constantly on TV in my household as my family are massive fans so it’s always been close to my heart. I can’t wait to get cracking and join an incredibly talented cast!"
EastEnders Executive Producer, Jon Sen is also happy for Charlie to join the team and said: "We’re very happy to be welcoming Charlie to Walford.
"His character Aaron joins the Monroe’s, our newest family set to move into the Square with connections to the Beale’s. In many ways he’s the opposite to his sister Dana and Harvey’s relationship with them both is likely to be tested. There’s more to Aaron than his bravado lets on and we look forward to Charlie’s arrival on screen later this year."
Charlie's first scenes in EastEnders will air this autumn.
