EastEnders' Aaron attacks and blinds Muslim taxi driver in sick revelation

This article contains explicit discussion around an Islamophobia hate storyline

A few weeks ago, Aaron Monroe (Charlie Wernham) attacked someone in EastEnders and since then, viewers haven’t had any confirmation as to who the victim was.

Tonight, that all changed.

Sitting down to lunch with Harvey (Ross Boatman), Dana (Barbara Smith) and Tiff (Maisie Smith), Aaron wasted no time in questioning Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) about his Islam beliefs.

Aaron was heavily opinionated when it came to Islam, asking Bobby whether the ‘strike and terror bit’ comes after the peaceful greeting.

Bobby held his own, explaining what Islam means, but Aaron’s views on the matter didn’t change.

After lunch, things progressed when Harvey confronted his son over the bloodied shirt he had found.

Aaron lied to Harvey, but suspicion grew as he also asked his dad for an alibi.

With Aaron gone, the police arrived and revealed to Harvey a Muslim taxi driver was now in hospital and there is a high chance his injuries will see him become partially sighted.

Harvey was horrified but also, an element of his emotions hinted that this wasn’t the first time his son had been in this situation.

Switching on the lies, Aaron happily left knowing Harvey had given him an alibi as he asked.

Towards the end of the episode, viewers saw Aaron spray painting the Argee Bhagee, telling someone on the phone their plan was back on and the new Mosque ‘ain’t ever gonna open’.

As Aaron left, viewers discovered he had painted a swastika on the wall.

‘Let the games begin’, Aaron said.

But what is he planning?
