Doctor Who teases first look at ‘most powerful enemy yet’

Doctor Who: BBC release anniversary special trailer

The official Doctor Who Twitter account has given fans a first look at Jinkx in action, who will play the Doctor’s enemy.

The caption to the images read: “Here is your first look at @JinkxMonsoon in character… as the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet! #DoctorWho.” (sic)

@JinkxMonsoon also took to their Twitter page to share the news and wrote: “When The Doctor summons me, I am compelled to answer #DoctorWho.”

Alongside the pictures of Jinkx’s arrival as the next Doctor Who villain, a video was also posted, as she gave a small insight into the character.

She said in an evil voice: “I’m Jinkx Monsoon, and this is my costume for Doctor Who.”

Jinkx recently opened up on joining the cast of Doctor Who and said: “I’m honoured, thrilled, and utterly excited to join Doctor Who!

“Russell T Davies is a visionary and a brilliant writer – I can’t wait to get into the weeds with him and the crew! I hope there’s room in the TARDIS for my luggage.”

Showrunner Russel T Davies added: “In a galaxy of comets and supernovas, here comes the biggest star of all. Jinkx Monsoon is on a collision course with the TARDIS, and Doctor Who will never be the same again.”

Fans for the series immediately took to their Twitter accounts to express their love and excitement over the announcement.
